Lone Star’s USB to Serial Adapter Cable is a signal converter that changes a computer’s RS-232 signal to USB type A.  It makes downloading database updates for your GPS receiver a straight forward plug and play experience.

Now you can update your database to get the latest from your GPS, update to the next version of data including airports, maps, terrain, man made infrastructures, towers and their geographic LAT/Long identification.

Pilots use the described Serial Adapter and maximize GPS functionality by incorporating a Desktop Commander Docking Station for updating as well as taking advantage of critical GPS training i.e. simulation mode in a non-flying environment.
